
Backing up my opinion on the likely growth of the non-Apple application market, internetnews.com yesterday quoted research by AndroLib.com claiming more than 20,000 Android apps are now available for download.
62% of these apps are available free and users must pay for the remaining 38%. The total figure doubles "the number of apps available in the Android Market store in the last five months".
There's still a long way to go before Android gets close to Apple's 100,000 - but maybe Google's strategy for its Android platform is one of quality rather than quantity?
